Hot: The Major Ghanaians Enemy.

Why Ghana's Universities and Colleges Are Overrated.

This is not something we must joke with.
We must pay close attention to this crucial situation. How does it assist when pupils make friends with an adversary of their country?

Students are sent to school in order to obtain a great education and contribute to the development of the nation and the world.

However, when the pupils finally arrive at school, many of them succumb to the lure of a national adversary and become friends with the enemy.

The adversary has been dubbed "Chew, Pour, Pass, and Forget" by the pupils. This means that students engage in the practice of just memorizing what their teachers and lecturers tell them; upon assessment, they write back verbatim for the teachers the things they memorized, and therefore pass the exam and they then simply forget about it.

This "Chew, Pour, Pass, and Forget" mentality is a major impediment to the development of problem-solving talents in students, and thus a major impediment to the advancement of the nation, because students do not bring any innovation to assist solve the nation's problems and advance the nation.

It is no surprise that there appears to be no difference whether a person has completed university or has not attended any institution at all.

After graduation, many students are just like any other ordinary person who never attended a university because they have no unique value to the nation other than looking for work. They have no idea what to do with their education other than hope for a job.

Financial, health, economic, social, technical, and other issues are unavoidable in our country. If we are to advance as a society and enjoy some security, peace, and pleasure, we must be able to confront these issues with highly efficient methods other than the normal "school-to-job-seeking" achievement and the decisions taken by the government and the legislature.

Where is our national security unless effective answers can be found among ourselves rather than from outside sources?

Anyone in the country who is not concerned about what students bring to the country after school is irresponsible. The "Chew, Pour, Pass, and Forget" approach that students in colleges practice is a threat to the nation's progress, but students enjoy it since it is a quick road to the certifications and degrees that they so desperately want.

Ghana's Universities and Colleges provide poor education and are overrated.

Although being a university or college student seems respectable, Ghana's universities and colleges are inadequate at educating students and are overrated. They are not what they seem. Shame on you, all of you instructors and lecturers who get paid yet don't work to improve education.

You go on strike to demand a higher income, but not to demand better education. Some of you lecturers have been repeating the same terrible instruction for years, to the point where you have memorized what you teach.

So you go into those classrooms year after year, dictating notes from memory to pupils and collecting a wage for performing such bad teaching. What else can you offer to students apart from making notes for them to copy?

Shame on you, all you university and college administrators who don't care about innovation and ingenuity in problem solving and instead take salaries for holding titles and occupying positions. Shame on you, all you intellectual giants in Ghana who are only known by your titles and degrees and not by the solutions you have devised.?

If you believe that universities and colleges are only for training students to obtain certificates and then sending them to go hunt for jobs, I am sorry to inform you that you are incorrect and have a poor understanding of what education is.

Education is a tool for determining and solving problems in the country. Unfortunately, what you do with education is to provide certificates to students and send them to go hunt for jobs.

I am talking to you, all you universities and colleges in Ghana, and all you teachers and educational authorities in Ghana. You have reduced teaching and learning to writing and copying notes, and you have reduced education to merely giving certificates and degrees to students.

The certificates and degrees you give to pupils are worthless and hollow; they do not ensure that the students have gained the skill to solve issues.

We've observed, however, that students who get certifications and degrees struggle with problem solving; many of them can't even figure out the fundamental answer of putting their knowledge and talents to work to create jobs for themselves.

They have become unemployed grads and have shamelessly founded an association of unemployed graduates. After more than 20 years of study, from kindergarten to university, these graduates are unlikely to be aware that they are expected to solve issues.

They believe that someone should hire them, which I think is unfortunate!

I believed that your schools should be the hope of the country when it comes to fixing problems in the country, you are not what you are meant to be. You have misunderstood the meaning and purpose of education.

You are ineffective in schooling and overvalued. Instead of educating kids to be problem solvers, you train them to be job seekers.

Instead of educating kids to be problem solvers, you train them to be job searchers. My recommendation is to teach them to be problem solvers rather than job seekers.

Train kids to be problem solvers rather than job seekers. God bless us all to change Ghana positively.
